Task:
COD removal under high loading conditions using smallest possible tank volumes and easy operation.

Solution:
The existing MBBR tank was equipped with Mutag BioChip™, operated as high-load stage, followed by low-load activated sludge stage.

Results:
The performance requirements are being met and the treatment results are even below the permits. The plant
runs without any problems. The BioChips do not show any sign of wear and tear.
